British Hernia Society

By Owen Haskins | July 26, 2025

The British Hernia Society selected Dendrite through a competitive tendering process to establish the new UK Hernia Surgery Registry which went live in 2024.

The registry is designed to track inguinal and femoral hernias along with all ventral hernia repairs and includes detail of all meshes, sutures and tackers that have been used.

The UK Hernia Registry has been designed to enable fast data capture – typically taking less that one minute for a surgeon to enter a complete case and it also includes Dendrite’s e-PROMs module so that patients themselves can then systematically add in post-operative PROMs & follow-up data over a five year post-operative period.
