NHS Blood and Transplant

By Owen Haskins | August 20, 2025

For well over 15 years, Dendrite have been providing the National Registry platform for NHS Blood and Transplant’s Serious Hazards of Transfusion (SHOT) haemovigilance registry – which is the basis of a major quality assurance programme for transfusion of blood and blood products in all UK National Health Service Hospitals.

This registry has now collected data on well over 35,000 incidents and the subsequent data analysis and publication of Annual SHOT Reports has led to continual improvement in the delivery of transfusions for patients in all UK NHS Hospitals.
