Report

This fourth VEnous thromboembolism RegIsTrY (VERITY) report documents the diagnosis and treatment of venous thromboembolism in both the inpatient & outpatient settings in the UK.

Together with a chapter that provides an overview of the findings from the VERITY database, clinical issues for specific patient subpopulations and certain clinical practices are addressed in individual chapters:

• patients with pulmonary embolism
• the use of thromboprophylaxis
• patients with cancer and venous thromboembolism
• pregnant women with venous thromboembolism
